Nara Aziza Smith is no typical internet-sensation “trad wife.” As a young mother of three, she often impresses with her from-scratch meals, but it’s not just her culinary skills that grab your attention. She doesn’t neatly fit into the boxed-in label the web tends to give her, and, unsurprisingly, she doesn’t dress the part either. Instead, she does it all whilst looking effortlessly chic in the likes of cashmere Prada outfits and Chanel cardigans.
She recently displayed one of her best looks yet, timed impeccably with her 23rd birthday, at the Business of Fashion 500 Gala. While there, the popular model and influencer outshone all with her impeccable taste in fashion.
Unveiling her ensemble for the high-profile event, Smith selected a daring yet sophisticated dress from Miu Miu’s Fall/Winter 2024 collection that perfectly portrayed her unique personal style. The dress bore a boatneck and delicate cap sleeves that resonated with her sweet demeanor, but what caught everyone’s attention was the bold cutout. This head-turning detail provided a rare glimpse of skin, breaking away from Smith’s usually modest get-up. Centered around an oval-shaped opening, capped by a tiny black bow, the cutout served as her outfit’s defining highlight.
The choice of wardrobe didn’t just stop there. Delving deeper into the details, the dress was structured to accentuate her waist, giving a slight exaggeration to her hips, eventually cascading into a culminating column skirt ending just below her knees. However, the chic ensemble didn’t end there. Complementing her outfit, Smith opted for a cherry red pair of Miu Miu’s patent-leather Buckle-Trio slingback pumps. To top off her look was a sprinkle of sparkle brought by tiny diamond earrings and understated rings from Tiffany and Co. Her hair, styled into a graceful, slightly curled look with a dramatic side part, offered the perfect finish to her high-fashion ensemble.
While Smith was the star of the show, she wasn’t alone. Making a grand appearance alongside her was her husband, Lucky Blue Smith. As a stylish couple, they displayed perfect synergy with Lucky donning a handsome gray Prada suit, further accentuated by a yellow tie. His signature blond hairstyle accompanied by a unique loose ringlet brought an added charm to his look. Mirroring his wife’s sparkle, he too accessorized with a ring from Tiffany and Co., making them a picture-perfect couple.
Reflecting her love for fashion, Smith had earlier revealed, “I’m a girly girl. I love dressing up. I love fashion so much.” Evidently, her outfits invite attention and curiosity, but as she observes, “Sometimes my outfits aren’t the most practical, but then again fashion isn’t always practical. That’s what I do. I post videos of me cooking for my kids and my husband. It’s really not that deep.”
Yet, in spite of her nonchalant approach, it seems like Smith manages to find the right balance between domesticity and style, proving that one can enjoy both traditional roles and the glamour of high fashion. After all, who said you can’t bring style to the kitchen in Prada and Chanel? The answer is clearly, not Nara Aziza Smith.
